Cookware Sets History
In ancient prehistoric times, it is believed that people typically cooked their food in open fire.
When they needed to put food in containers, they used natural materials such as carved stone bowls,
sealed bamboo tubes and shells of turtles.
When pottery was developed, it provided for an opportunity for people to invent fireproof cooking utensils
that were of various sizes and shapes. Cookware Sets made from earthenware vessels were then created and would
then also be coated with plant gum. This process would convert them into waterproof utensils. Each Earthenware
cookware set could not conduct heat very well. However, since the cost of making each cookware set was cheap;
it became a very popular way of cooking food. Typically, the food would have to cook for longer periods of time.
Later on cookware sets started being made from either bronze of iron. Since the cost of making metal cookware was
more costly, it took much longer for metal cookware sets to become popular. However by the medieval times, many
people had metal cookware.
